LONDON’S LITTLE NATURE FILM FESTIVAL:

Film Screenings and Talks

This event aims to give an impression of some of the nature conservation projects and accompanying stories from the natural world in the capital. We will be screening grassroots media from nature volunteers, wildlife professionals, filmmakers, artists, photographers and nature lovers. We are particularly interested in work from those practically involved in nature projects, perhaps documented over time, revealing their development. We are also interested in the human story: how local community is impacted or otherwise by projects. Nature conservation workers and media creators will host Q and A sessions after the showings.

Our aim is to feature the diversity of London’s wildlife habitat from large conservation areas and parks to waste spaces and small gardens. By strengthening the voice of filmmaking and photography enthusiasts we hope the event will provide a rare, inside view of the work going on and an opportunity for volunteers, conservation professionals and filmmakers to network and meet the public.

COURSES

This video was commissioned as part of a film-making training course Onward Productions delivered for The South Downs National Park. They organised this hugely successful event on Iping Heath, West Sussex which brought to life the people behind the heath through 2000 years of history. They now produce their own videos
